Multidisciplinary Liver Tumor Program

The incidence of primary liver cancer is on the rise in the United States, especially among individuals with chronic liver diseases. Patients with these difficult tumors benefit most from working with a coordinated team of experts. To provide your patients with the best care and treatment, physicians from OHSU's Cancer Institute and Digestive Health Center have established a Multidisciplinary Liver Tumor Clinic.

Our team provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment and includes a group of specialists with expertise in the management of liver tumors. These specialists include hepatologists, interventional and imaging radiologists, liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgeons, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists and specialists in palliative care.

OHSU also has the distinction of being the only liver transplant center in Oregon. This center serves as a clinical research unit, which allows us to offer the most up-to-date treatments to patients with primary liver tumors. Our other therapies - including hepatic resection, ablative techniques, catheter based embolic procedures, radiation therapy and systemic therapies - represent the complete spectrum of liver tumor treatments available today.
