OHSU Clinic: Interventional Cardiology

Clinic Description

OHSU’s Interventional Cardiology Program treats complex heart problems, including adult congenital heart defects, through a variety of techniques. Cardiologists use catheters to determine how well blood is flowing through the heart, collect blood samples directly from the heart and correct some heart defects.

Services At This Clinic

  • - angioplasty
  • - cardiac catheterization (including coronary angiography or arteriography)
  • - Clinical Robotics Laboratory’s Magnetic Navigation - grants cardiologists exceptional control of pacemaker placement; technique exposes patients to less radiation exposure while increasing the effectiveness of future cardiac intervention treatments
