Cataract Services
A cataract is a cloudy or opaque area that forms over the lens of the eye. Surgery for cataracts is one of the most common operations performed-and the most effective. Our Casey Eye Institute surgeons are leaders in the field of complex cataract surgery, and work closely with community doctors to provide the highest quality care and outcomes. They will also help you choose which type of lens is right for you after your cataracts are removed.
The microsurgical techniques we use allow for rapid healing and prompt restoration of vision. This day surgery is performed in our state-of-the-art surgical facility. Most people go home within three hours of surgery.
