The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society work together to provide patients with information, free wigs and services such as help with lodging and transportation.

Volunteers and our patient navigator can provide information and connect you with American Cancer Society programs, including:
Patient lodging: The cancer society and local hotels work together to provide free or low-cost rooms to cancer patients traveling to Portland. Learn more.
Road to Recovery: The cancer society works with Ride Connection’s volunteer drivers to take cancer patients to and from medical appointments. Learn more.
Look Good ... Feel Better: This program helps women in cancer treatment with beauty techniques for hair, skin and nails. The goal is to help women regain a sense of normalcy. Learn more.
Reach to Recovery: This program pairs trained volunteer breast cancer survivors to serve as role models and supporters for others living with breast cancer. Learn more.
Free hats, wigs and headscarves: The Patient Education Resource Center provides free head coverings. Volunteers can help women with wig fittings. Call Heidi Judge at 503-351-5921 for an appointment.
