Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute (OCTRI)
The Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute (OCTRI) offers resources to help investigators initiate studies, move research from the laboratory to the clinic and share their results with other scientists and the community. Our goal is to help remove barriers to the pace and growth of research.
OCTRI includes a partnership between Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and Kaiser Permanente's Center for Health Research (KPCHR). By bringing together a strong biomedical research university and aresearch center associated with a large patient population, the OCTRI collaboration provides unique opportunities for research into cancer and other diseases. Investigators from OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and KPCHR are collaborating or planning collaborations on colorectal cancer screening, obesity and cancer, breast cancer risk reduction and using cancer screening more appropriately in caring for patients with multiple diseases. Our collaboration helps set the stage for major advances in health.
