De La Salle
The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute partners with De La Salle North Catholic School.
Individual students may work one full day each week in our Radiation Medicine department and Center for Hematologic Malignancies. By working in job-sharing teams, theses students fill full-time entry-level jobs in these departments and gain experience in healthcare environments.
Academic schedules are structured so students can work without missing class. We believe this experience will encourage students to seek careers in the health sciences.
Students assign their earnings to De La Salle North Catholic High School to pay for 70 percent of their tuition. This allows students who might not otherwise receive a college preparatory education to attend De La Salle North and gain valuable work experience.
