Ryan Voelker, BSRyan Voelker
Ryan facilitates Knight Cancer Institute’s writing group for men with cancer since 2012. He works primarily as a Research Coordinator for OHSU’s Knight Cancer Clinical Trials Program and is also a freelance writer for a variety of local magazine publications. Ryan studied Community Health Education and Writing at Portland State University and currently volunteers as a Program Assistant for a local literary non-profit organization called Late Night Library.
Dawn Thompson, MADawn Thompson, MA
Dawn facilitates writing workshops for women living with a cancer  diagnosis through the Knight Cancer Institute. She has worked for Write Around  Portland and currently oversees and facilitates writing workshops through  Portland Women Writers ( Dawn considers herself a space  holder for women to build lasting pathways through the written word among their  hearts, minds, bodies and souls.
Brianna BarrettBrianna Barrett
Brianna supports young adult cancer  patients and survivors as the facilitator of the AYA therapeutic writing  program. She is also the head storytelling coach for Notes of Hope, an annual storytelling show and fundraiser for AYA services at OHSU.
Kimberly  Carson, MPHKimberly Carson, MPH
Kimberly  is a health educator specializing in the use of mindfulness and yoga for  medical challenges. She has been teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction  for close to 20 years – at OHSU, Duke University Medical Center, University of  North Carolina Hospitals, and University of Florida. Kimberly has collaborated  in over 10 in research trials evaluating  mindfulness-based programs as adjunctive  treatments for various conditions. Kimberly co-directs teacher trainings on the  east and west coasts.

Anne Marie Evered, MSW, MPH, e-RYTAnne Marie Evered, MSW, MPH, e-RYT
Anne Marie has been teaching yoga for  over ten years. With a background in yoga for seniors and chronic pain,  she specializes in working with students with medical concerns.  She  currently leads yoga classes at the OHSU Knight Cancer Center.
