Sarcoma Treatment Options
The sarcoma team at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is the only coordinated care team in Oregon specializing in sarcoma diagnosis and treatment. Our sarcoma doctors are fellowship trained and have extensive knowledge of sarcoma.
If you have sarcoma, we will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan. We offer a variety of treatment options for sarcoma, including chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. Our sarcoma doctors and nurses meet weekly to discuss patients with sarcoma, giving you the benefit of our entire team’s knowledge and expertise.
Most bone and soft tissue tumors are removed with surgery. You may also have treatment with a medical oncologist or radiation oncologist, depending on the stage, location and type of tumor.

Medical oncologists treat cancer with drugs and treatments other than surgery and radiation. Our medical oncology team uses chemotherapy, powerful drugs that can kill cancer cells.
