Meet Katharine Barford, M.D.

Katherine Barford, M.D.Dr. Katharine Barford joined OHSU Community Hematology Oncology in 2012. Dr. Barford treats people with cancer and with diseases of the blood. She sees patients at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute's Community Hematology Oncology clinic in Beaverton and at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria, Oregon.

Throughout her medical career, she has been passionate about women's health care focusing particularly on patients with breast and gynecologic cancers. Dr. Barford works closely with multidisciplinary teams and enrolls patients in clinical trials as part of her efforts to provide the best patient care possible.

Dr. Barford earned her medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine, in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine, as well as a fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at North Shore University Hospital, in Manhasset, New York. She is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine.
