As human beings, we experience and interact with the world through our brains. Learning more about how the brain functions and how genes and the environment influence the brain is important for all people.
OHSU is a national leader in neuroscience clinical care (patient care) and research. We have more than 400 healthcare providers and researchers treating people with diseases of the brain, teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals and scientists and doing research. OHSU is one of the top recipients of NIH research funding, and much of this funding goes to studies that will directly improve people’s lives. At the OHSU Brain Institute, we’re building on our scientific knowledge and achievements to make OHSU an internationally known neuroscience research center.
