OHSU is a full participant in the MultiPlan and PHCS Networks. If you are interested in using OHSU clinics, please call your insurance plan provider to ensure there are no limitations to your access to OHSU care.
How you pay for your health care will depend on whether you have health insurance and the type of coverage you have. Your health plan may pay for all or part of the cost of your care. See below guidance on how to contact an appropriate customer service representative.
A message from MultiPlan
Founded in 1980, MultiPlan, Inc., is the nation’s oldest and largest independent PPO network with an estimated 4,500 acute-care hospitals, 110,000 ancillary care facilities and 550,000 healthcare practitioners participating in the PHCS and/or MultiPlan networks. Clients include large and mid-sized insurers, third-party administrators, self-funded plans, HMOs and other entities that pay claims on behalf of health plans.
The MultiPlan national PPO network solutions include:
- PHCS Network offers participants access in all states - no matter where health plan participants live, work, and seek healthcare, they have access to the largest independent primary PPO in the nation.
- The MultiPlan Network is a national complementary PPO network. Just as the name implies, The MultiPlan Network adds to the coverage of a primary PPO or HMO/POS/EPO by giving health plan participants an additional choice of providers at discounted rates. When participants seek care outside their primary network, they typically pay a higher coinsurance rate but share in the savings achieved by the network discount.
