Biography
After completing his Family Medicine specialty training in Chicago, Dr. Wahls practiced in Roseburg for 24 years where he was a co-founder of Evergreen Family Medicine. He has enjoyed long-term patient relationships and the privilege of knowing people on a personal level and helping families navigate the opportunities of health. Steve joined OHSU Family Medicine in 2008, and is particularly honored to work with amazing residents and students in outpatient and hospital environments. His primary practice location is Scappoose, and he mentors residents at OHSU Family Medicine Richmond one day each week. Dr. Wahls is a designated FAA Senior Medical Examiner, and performs pilot medical exans and consultation at Scappoose and at the South Waterfront office. Dr. Wahls and his wife of 32 years live in NE Portland. They have three adult daughters, a wonderful son in law, and two grandchildren.
