Biography
Dr. Thomas’ clinical practice focuses on general pediatric oncology, pediatric palliative care and blood disorders (abnormalities of hemostasis and thrombosis, and hemoglobinopathies). He is the medical director of the Bridges Pediatric Palliative Care Program at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. He was the director of the Oregon Hemophilia Treatment Center from 1998 – 2007 and he has been the medical consultant to the Oregon Newborn Screening program for hemoglobinopathies since Oregon began screening for abnormal hemoglobins in 1995.
