Biography
Dr. Thakar provides comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgical care. She maintains a dual appointment with the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Department of Otolaryngology at OHSU., She has a clinical interest in breast reconstruction, lower extremity reconstruction, and complex wound management. In particular, she specializes in perforator free-flap (ALT, DIEP, SIEA, etc.) breast reconstruction. Dr. Thakar's research is focused on breast reconstruction techniques and outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Thakar periodically conducts head and neck reconstruction, and works closely with the Division of Urology to provide genitourinary reconstruction after cancer or trauma.
