Biography
Maggie completed her Masters at California State University at Dominguez Hills with a specialty as a Nurse Educator. She completed her Ph.D. in Family Nursing here at OHSU. She did her research on the impact of a history of childhood sexual abuse on a woman's initiation and duration of breast feeding. Maggie has extensive experience working as a nurse-midwife in both public and private practices in Oregon. In addition to her work in the midwifery practice, Maggie is an energetic instructor in the graduate nurse-midwifery program at OHSU. She is fluent in Spanish. On a personal note, she is both a mother and a grandmother whose hobbies include reading, quilting, camping and serving on two community boards.
