Biography
Kerri iprovides public education at OHSU Doernbecher through a contract with Multnomah Education Service District which provides educational services to hospitalized pediatric patients. Her work includes: • Educating children with chronic illness and injury • Working with schools and parents in regards to the educational impact of diagnosis and treatment. • Providing school re-entry services after hospitalization. She has expertise in understanding the potential educational barriers one may face as a childhood cancer survivor. She meets parents and students in our clinic, and by request, will contact schools to share research-based information, as well as her real-life experiences on how to best support individuals who have undergone cancer treatment.
