Biography
In addition to her general pediatric practice, Dr. Polensek works with a multidisciplinary team in the Doernbecher Healthy Lifestyles clinic that includes pediatric nutritionists, physical therapists and child psychologists to provide an assessment of the issues facing children with severe obesity. They make specific recommendations regarding further management and help patients to achieve their nutrition and activity goals on their pathway to better health. The team is involved in Rx play, a program to connect these patients with the Parks and Recreation system as well as collaboration with other institutions in the Portland Metro Area.
