Biography
Jennifer Murphy, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. She is broadly trained in the techniques of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Murphy received her undergraduate degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and completed her medical training with honors at the University of Texas in Galveston in 2002. She completed her training in both surgery and plastic surgery at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Murphy’s clinical interests include facial trauma and Moh’s reconstruction, though she has particular interest and expertise in breast reconstruction. Her extensive research interests include breast reconstruction outcomes, Angiogenesis, blood vessel physiology and wound healing. Since being awarded with the University of Wisconsin Plastic Surgery Research Fellowship in 2005, she has written several articles for research publications, as well as presented her research at national and regional meetings.
