Biography
Dr. Modiano serves as Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at OHSU. He specializes in the treatment of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. After earning a Bachelor’s degree from Yale University, he continued at Yale for advanced graduate training in Immunology and for his medical school education. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University. He trained at one of the world’s leading IBD centers, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and completed the joint Gastroenterology Fellowship Program at UCLA & Cedars-Sinai. His interest in the cultural dimensions of patient care has led him to work at a hospital in Botswana, Africa and in the Indian Health Service as part of his training, and to lead a course on The Healer’s Art. He is passionate about patient care and about bringing the best that medical science has to offer for his patients.
