Biography
Dr. Meyers was born and raised in rural Northern California and traveled around the country during her medical training. She developed an interest in hematology and oncology during medical school, and pursued a fellowship in that field after her internal medicine residency. While at the University of Utah, she performed laboratory research on bone marrow failure syndromes, with a focus on paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria. Her research continues at OHSU, and she currently has government and private foundation support to study the genetic changes that lead to bone marrow dysfunction and cancers of the bone marrow.
