Biography
Michele Megregian specializes in midwifery care and general Ob-Gyn care. She is bilingual (English/Spanish) and is interested in community health. Michele has practiced midwifery in a variety of settings, including public health clinics, community health centers, hospital-based practices, and homebirth. Michele believes in holistic care for women and the members of their families, across the lifespan. She values working with women within the context of their lives and honoring their transformative experiences. After practicing midwifery for 11 years in the Chicago, Illinois area, Michele moved to Portland in 2008 in order to downsize her urban living experience. She has fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest. In her leisure time, Michele enjoys the region's mountains and moss -along with cross-country skiing at Mt. Hood, hiking the Columbia Gorge and paddling the Willamette River. PREGNANCY and CHILDBIRTH PHILOSOPHY: "My goal is to be present with women, throughout their birth experience, and through respect, dignity, compassion, and excellent medical care, foster the normal birthing process."
