Biography
Elizabeth came to midwifery by way of labor and delivery nursing. She obtained her Bachelors in Nursing from University of Portland and her Midwifery training through OHSU. The first eight years of her practice were spent at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center. She is fluent in Spanish and has a great commitment to Latino families. She is equally committed to educating new nurse-midwives and is part of the academic faculty of OHSU's nurse-midwifery program. A mother of three children, she spends every waking minute juggling the joys and routines of her profession and motherhood. She enjoys travelling with her husband and children, and has a keen interest in international health care.
