Biography
Meera became a nurse practitioner to work closely with people and truly influence their health and well-being. Working in women's health allows her to work in a field that she is passionate about while working with a population she can relate to. Originally from Connecticut, Meera spent the last 10 years in New Haven. Wanting to experience life on the west coast, she came to Portland after hearing about all the wonderful things the city offers. She chose OHSU because of its excellent reputation and her desire to work in academic institution that that offers opportunities for teaching/learning as well as patient care. Meera enjoys the challenge of staying up-to-date in a medical field that is constantly changing. She is particularly excited about ongoing developments in women's health. Along with providing excellent primary care, she hopes to be a resource of information for her patients by staying informed of the latest health findings. Outside of work, Meera loves to be outdoors - running, hiking, exploring different neighborhoods and meeting new people. She also loves to read.
