Biography
Dr. Jensen completed medical school at Emory University in 1984. A Northwest native, he returned to the west coast for an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose and an Ob/Gyn residency at OHSU. Prior to accepting a faculty position at OHSU in 1992, Dr. Jensen served in the medical corp of the United States Navy. In 2003, Dr. Jensen was appointed the first Leon Speroff Endowed Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at OHSU. He now serves as Director of both the Women’s Health Research Unit and the Vulvar Pain Clinic and is a collaborating scientist at the Oregon National Primate Research Center. His special clinical interests include vulvar disease and family planning. Dr. Jensen’s research focuses on preclinical investigations of new contraceptive methods and clinical trials in family planning and vulvar disease. In his leisure time, Dr. Jensen enjoys birding, running, camping, biking and hiking with his family.
