Special Interest:
Liver Cancer
Accepting Patients:

The primary focus of my practice is surgery for tumors of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas. This complex set of clinical problems requires specialized technical training and expertise. It is equally important that patients with these conditions are treated by multidisciplinary teams such as those at OHSU. My commitment to communication with referring providers, oncology specialists and patients and families is the greatest skill I bring to the care of these patients.

I collaborate with oncologists throughout the western United States to care for patients with complex or multifocal metastatic disease in the liver. The appropriate integration of surgical and systemic treatments for these patients is one of my greatest areas of interest.

I employ a range of technical approaches to treat hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors. Whenever feasible, I use minimally invasive surgery techniques. The large number of patients I see with these tumors gives me the experience to help deliver the best possible outcomes.
