Dr. Okada specializes in lymphoma with a particular interest in cutaneous lymphoma and T cell lymphoma. He is involved in multiple clinical trials for lymphoma patients, with an emphasis on Phase I and Phase II trials. Dr. Okada is part of the OHSU multidisciplinary lymphoma tumor board, which facilitates evaluation and treatment recommendations with contributions by hematopathology, radiation oncology, oncology and bone marrow transplant.
While at Stanford University, Dr. Okada conducted research in immunology and cancer immunotherapy. He was a faculty member in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Michigan and a staff physician at the Ann Arbor Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 1998-2004. While at the University of Michigan, he was the co-director of the Cutaneous T cell Lymphoma Clinic and participated in the Multidisciplinary Lymphoma Clinic.
