Academic and Clinical Position
Family Medicine at South Waterfront
I believe that the highest quality medical care adapts to meet the health goals and needs of each individual patient. In my medical practice, I try to meet people where they are by understanding how their health is influenced by their biology, psychology, spirituality, family, society and environment. With this holistic viewpoint, I hope to develop long-term therapeutic relationships with patients in order to promote long and healthy lives.
Recognizing that it can require a team to provide holistic care, I seek to coordinate patient care with clinic team members and other health care professionals, including those from non-Western medical traditions. I have had positive personal experiences with acupuncture, qi-gong, naturopathy, and more, and am interested in integrating these therapies appropriately into my practice. I also aim to continuously improve the quality of care provided by this team and often employ my formal management training to do so.
A little about my background: My mother is a first-generation German immigrant, my father is a first-generation Chinese immigrant and I am a son of the Pacific Northwest. I was born and raised in Seattle and, after building homes in Tijuana, México and studying in Boston, Massachusetts, I am happy be practicing near my original stomping grounds. When not practicing medicine, I play pickup soccer, sing karaoke, exercise with CrossFit and enjoy spending time with my family.
¡Se habla Español! Hablamos español en casa y disfruto cualquier oportunidad para trabajar con gente latinoamericana. Estoy dispuesto recibirles en la clinica para una cita.
