Dr. Melinda Cushing is a board certified dermatologist who provides the full range of general medical dermatologic care with a special focus on psoriasis, as part of the Center of Excellence for Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis sub-specialty clinic.

Dr. Cushing received her undergraduate studies from Colorado College and her Ph.D. in biochemical engineering from the University of Colorado - Boulder. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver and completed an internal medicine internship at Stanford before coming to OHSU for her dermatology training.

In addition to seeing patients at the Center for Health & Healing, Dr. Cushing practices in The Dalles, at Mid-Columbia Medical Center (MCMC) in a special partnership with OHSU.  “I’m really excited about enhancing the ongoing alliance between OHSU and MCMC,” she says. “The collaboration provides the rural population in the Gorge access to OHSU’s extensive resources and expertise, while allowing me to stay involved with resident education, research and to have a sub-specialty focus,” says Dr. Cushing.

Growing up in Colorado Dr. Cushing has found Oregon, and especially the Gorge, a familiar and enjoyable place to live as she enjoys exploring the outdoors, cycling, skiing, hiking and camping.
