Dr. Goetsch has been associated with the OHSU teaching program since completing her Ob/Gyn training at OHSU in 1979. She became board certified in 1982. Medical school education was in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and before that she majored in history at the University of Rochester, New York. She has practiced medicine in Portland for over 20 years, integrated with teaching. To pursue her work with the gynecologic entity vulvar vestibulitis, she formally joined the academic department in 2000. She earned a Masters in Public Health in Berkeley in 2000 with a special interest in population and international reproductive health. She travels internationally about twice per year to developing countries to further programs in family planning and reproductive safety. Her interests outside of medicine include environmental concerns, gardening, music, bicycling and hiking.
