Professor of Psychiatry
Dr. Nigg specializes in neuropsychological, cognitive, and clinical features of child psychiatric and learning problems. He has a special interest in consulting on treatment plans for complex cases that have not responded to existing educational or psychiatric intervention. He takes a neuropsychological and systems approach to ask how the child’s cognitive profile intersects with the child’s social and learning environment. His specialized research focuses on causal mechanisms in ADHD, including neuropsychological, neural, genetic, and environmental elements.
