Elizabeth (Liz) Super was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved from the desert to attend University of Washington for her undergraduate degree. She met her now husband during her freshman year, although spent most of her senior year studying as well as writing letters to Tsholotsho, Zimbabwe, where her boyfriend served in the Peace Corps.
After majoring in biochemistry, she spent a year at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research center working in a lab studying muscular dystrophy. After traveling to Peru, Thailand, and Zimbabwe, she moved to Portland to serve at CARES Northwest as an Americorps member. Although always interested in bettering the health and safety of children, this experience solidified her commitment to pursue a career in medicine. She started in the class of 2001 at the University of Washington, School of Medicine.
Liz completed her pediatric residency at OHSU. Further interest in multidisciplinary care, and family education lead her to a sleep medicine fellowship following residency at OHSU.
Currently, Liz and her family live in Sellwood. She enjoys hiking, dancing and watching her husband cook. She is honored to be a part of the division of general pediatrics, as well as a physician in the multidisciplinary OHSU sleep disorders clinic.
