Biography
Dr. Hunter's clinical interests include the management of diseases of the esophagus and stomach and laparoscopic biliary surgery. In the early 1990s, Dr. Hunter pioneered the development of laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery in the Intermountain West and trained several hundred surgeons to perform laparoscopic cholecystectomy. His research activities concentrate on Barrett's esophagus, esophageal cancer and improvements in the techniques of minimally invasive surgery.
