Biography
Dr. Hatfield's clinical practice includes the whole spectrum of OB/GYN care, minimally invasive surgery and post-partum care. Her research focus is on health and the environment, as well as minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Hatfield tries to care for herself so that she can remain present and caring for her patients. She has always found medicine interesting and her specialty choice was influenced by her own experience with a life-saving gynecologic surgery. After living in Berkeley, California for most of her life and a medical residency in Vermont, Dr. Hatfield moved to Portland. She chose OHSU because she wanted an opportunity to teach and to be involved in leading-edge medicine. Her husband had previously lived in Portland for years and was happy to come back. Dr. Hatfield enjoys anything outdoors and spends time trail running, back country skiing, climbing and backpacking. She also loves spending time with her husband and two-year-old daughter.
