Biography
After receiving his medical degree at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Cohen completed an internal medicine internship at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and an anesthesiology residency at Duke University, where he served as Chief Resident in 1989. Dr. Cohen served on the faculty at Duke from 1989 to 1990 before entering private practice in North Carolina. From 1992 to 1993, Dr. Cohen was the Chief Medical Officer for a national-scope anesthesia practice management firm, Anesthesia Partners. He then returned to private practice in Montana and Oregon where he had extensive management responsibilities for his group practices. In 2007, Dr. Cohen joined the faculty at OHSU. His clinical interests include neurosurgery, esophageal surgery, pancreatic surgery and thoracic surgery. Outside of medicine, Dr. Cohen enjoys cycling, watching college basketball, and traveling with his family.
