Biography
Dr. Casey enjoys helping older adults and their families optimize their health, function, and independence to most fully enjoy life. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to entering nursing, she volunteered for a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, and has done hospice and Red Cross work, as well as health policy work for the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. Dr. Casey graduated with her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate in nursing from Oregon Health & Science University. She worked as a cardiac-surgical ICU nurse at OHSU for 7 years while completing her graduate studies. She completed her nurse practitioner (NP) training at the University of Washington in their adult-older adult NP program. Dr. Casey currently maintains a general internal medicine practice with a focus in geriatrics, as well as leads quality improvement efforts to improve the clinic’s care of its older patients. She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and also licensed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, specializing in Geriatrics.
