Biography
Dr. Alumkal provides cancer care for men with all stages of prostate cancer. He is the medical oncology director of the OHSU Multidisciplinary Prostate Cancer Clinic, which is also staffed by experts from radiation oncology and urologic oncology. He treats men with prostate cancer with the currently-approved therapies with an emphasis on: 1) individualizing the treatment to a patient’s goals and values and 2) applying sound evidence based upon the medical literature. He also participates in prostate cancer clinic trials research, which allows the most promising new drugs to be tested right here in Oregon.
