To streamline communication targeted to your needs, OHSU's Academic Technology Department is expanding its service so you can control the types of emailed messages you receive. Let us know which one (or all) you'd like to join – and you can always opt-out of any list at any time.
TLTR – Teaching and Learning Technology Roundtable
Receive invitations to attend our round table discussions on topics related to technology and learning. Recent topics included academic honesty and plagiarism checking tools, copyright compliance in online settings and mobile learning. OHSU's TLTR (http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/education/teaching-and-learning-center/academic-technology/tltr.cfm) meets 8 months each academic year. E-mail messages are sent three weeks before a TLTR session and reminders are sent a few days before.
Drop-in Clinics for Sakai Users
Receive announcements for drop-in clinics supporting your use of Sakai. Our clinics are unstructured opportunities for you to ask questions, present challenges and work one-on-one with Sakai Help Desk staff. Two to four emails are sent out each quarter announcing clinic dates and locations.
Faculty Development Workshops and Webinars
We're expanding our outreach to offer workshops that address teaching methods for both in-class and online teaching. We're planning over 20 sessions including topics such as:
- Evaluating and grading student performance
- Collaborative and team-based learning
- Using case studies to teach
E-mail messages will be sent monthly highlighting popular topics and providing opportunity for online registration.
