Teacher Advisors
Since it was first formed in 2002, the OHSU Teacher Advisory Committee has provided expert guidance and support for the development of OHSU Science Education Outreach programs. This representative group of educators helps us understand the needs of urban, rural, public, private, elementary, middle, high and pre-service teachers and students. The expertise of these teachers has been instrumental in the design and implementation of the Teacher Institute for the Experience of Science (TIES), the annual Brain Awareness Teacher Workshop, In a Box Curriculum and many more.
The OHSU community is invited to bring their program ideas to the group and ask specific questions about relevancy, implementation, strategies for success, and best practices. Teachers and OHSU faculty who have questions about connecting with the Teacher Advisory Committee, contact scied@ohsu.edu.
