    For years, OHSU students have organized a week of lectures and volunteer events to educate about disparities in the U.S. health care system, culminating in a weekend fair that provides free health screenings to hundreds of Oregonians who lack adequate insurance.

  • OHSU SON Macy Faculty Scholar


    School of Nursing associate professor Dena H. Hassouneh, Ph.D., A.N.P., has been named a Macy Faculty Scholar, a prestigious award that comes with annual salary support over two years. The award from the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation will give Hassouneh protected time to conduct research exploring new methods for increasing diversity in the health care workforce.

  • Equity Summer Research Program


    The OHSU Graduate Programs, Medicine, and Dentistry offer an exciting opportunity to spend 8 to 10 weeks working with faculty and graduate students in a research setting, learning new skills and gaining experience. The application for the 2012 Equity Summer Research Program is now available.
