Global Health Alliance - reducing health disparities through the promotion of global health awareness, education, advocacy and action at OHSU and throughout the larger community. By facilitating collaborations between students, faculty, and community partners, we aim to provide opportunities to learn about global health care in diverse cultures and settings; build a dynamic community dedicated to inquiry, cooperation, and creative problem-solving; increase access to the kinds of social, intellectual, and other resources that will enable students to work towards reducing global health disparities both locally and abroad.

The Hispanic Student Dental Association at OHSU is a local chapter of the national organization. We seek to foster knowledge concerning Hispanic oral health problems as well as promote good oral health of the Hispanic community in Oregon through education, prevention and treatment. Our group recognizes the shortage of Hispanic dental professionals and aims to motivate young adults to enter oral health careers. We also strive to enhance language skills of bi-lingual dental students to effectively communicate with Spanish speaking patients.

The Queers and Allies in HealthCare (QAHC) - is a student organization to not only create a welcoming environment for students of all schools at OHSU, but also to foster cross-school events and communications. We are hoping to unite with our fellow students to ensure that sexual minorities are represented well in both the community and in our respective curriculums. Most of all, it is a great way to socialize with our peers and support one another while furthering awareness and education at the university and community levels. Email QAHC.

Student National Medical Assoc. & Latino Medical Student Assoc. (SNMA-LMSA), OHSU Chapter- focus on the needs and concerns of medical students of color by fostering a community of diversity and inclusion. The Student National Medical Association, SNMA, is the nation's oldest and largest independent, student-run organization focused on the needs and concerns of medical students of color. The Latino Medical Student Association, LMSA, promotes the development of Latino students through educational, volunteer, professional and networking opportunities to foster diversity, higher education, and the improvement of the Latino community.
