The School of Dentistry Simulation Clinic provides the core experience for the first two years of the predoctoral dental program. Students have the opportunity to experience a manikin based program that provides training in operative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, CAD/CAM dentistry, implant dentistry, endodontics and periodontics.
In each discipline, students utilize a manikin to learn and refine skills prior to entering the patient treatment clinic. In every situation students are instructed in the basics of dental ergonomics to promote efficiency and a healthy, long professional life.
Post Doctoral and Continuing Education
The Simulation Clinic provides residents and experienced practioners the perfect location to learn new procedures and try equipment that continuing education (CE) courses offer. The clinical space provides a “patient” with all aspects of patient treatment simulated by a manikin unit. CE courses are scheduled through the School of Dentistry Continuing Education Department.
