I have been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma WA) since 1998.My initial years at PLU were as Director of our Wellness Center…a family practice community clinic (not student health) and contractor to the Tacoma-Pierce Co Health Dept.My teaching responsibilities are primarily capstone synthesis clinical (preceptorship), graduate finance, first-semester nursing competencies and health policy. My nursing practice history has included adult critical care/transplantation, administration and home health/hospice. I live vicariously through my spouse (Jeanette) and two adult children. I enjoy "building things"…plumbing, electrical, carpentry, landscaping, etc.
