I began my nursing education with the intention of becoming a nurse midwife. Throughout the course of my undergraduate program, I developed a passion for the totality of the nursing profession and delayed my entrance to graduate school to work in community health. I believe that nursing is at the core of preventative care and improved health outcomes. We are also the caregivers that patients remember; our influence on each life that we touch cannot be overestimated.
