Dr. Muriel Shaul earned her Ph.D. from University of California, San Francisco, a masters degree in community health with a minor in teaching from Boston University, and bachelors degree in Nursing at Boston College. She completed her nurse practitioner studies while on faculty at the University of Utah. Muriel is an associate professor at Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing and has held teaching positions at the University of Utah, University of Texas, Austin, California State University, Dominguez Hills, and Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California. She is an adult nurse practitioner and was formerly Clinic Director at Union Family Health Center in Union, Oregon, one of the two rural nurse practitioner practices previously managed by the School of Nursing. Muriel is currently Academic Program Director for the School of Nursing-La Grande Campus, and teaches chronic disease management, end of life care and leadership.
