I have been a nurse for many years and have enjoyed just about every minute of my experience in this profession. Nursing has allowed me the opportunities to meet so many wonderful people, to hear so many amazing stories of life, and to stretch myself in ways I never even considered. My life is richer and so much more complete because of my career as a nurse.I've been a staff nurse, a private surgical scrub nurse, a nursing instructor, a resource nurse, a manager of in-patient units, a director of nursing programs, and a clinician in a multicultural clinic and the first-aid station at an amusement park. Through all of these experiences, I found my practice passion to be oncology, especially stem cell transplant. Teaching students and patients alike is confusing, and at times overwhelming. Nursing has been a gift to me that I want to share with students.
