Mary Cato, M.S.N., R.N.

Mary Cato received her BSN from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  She received her MSN in Parent/Child Nursing and Nursing Education from Marquette University.  Mary has taught at Salish Kootenai College in Montana, Montana State University, and has been a Clinical Nurse Specialist and staff educator.  She has been a nursing instructor and simulation specialist on the OSHU-Portland campus since 2004.

In 2007 Mary was selected by the NLN to assist with the creation of an online Simulation Innovation Resource Center, which is a resource for nursing faculty who are interested in utilization of simulation as a learning and evaluative activity.  She continues to work on this 3-year project with a group of US and international authors.  Mary’s current teaching involves integration and implementation of simulation into the OHSU clinical nursing courses.
