"My passion in nursing is care for adult ICU patients, how to improve that care by improving the work of the ICU care provider team, with nurses, physicians, other providers, families and patients working together. My current research interest is concerned with how decision making could be improved when patients are most critically ill and decisions about limitation of treatment are considered. I have data from a 4-year study of four adult ICUs that I hope to disseminate through publications. I am dedicated to excellence in my role as editor of Research in Nursing & Health and hope to involve more faculty and students in achieving that excellence."
