My passion in nursing is to be a good mentor to others. I remember how important it was for me to have a good mentor as a student and as a nurse in various roles. I have been fortunate to work with individuals and families from different cultures in various settings throughout my lifespan. I want to share this with others. My professional interests lie in public health – specifically, cross-cultural experiences that address health disparities of individuals, families and communities. My goal as a nurse educator is to genuinely touch students – to educate, challenge and inspire them so that they will develop a sense of purpose. My personal interests include reading, knitting, spending time with my family (and dog), and learning something new each day.
