3 - 5 p.m. Tour and visit the First Congregational Church, 1126 SW Park Avenue, Portland, OR 97205. This is where OHSU School of Nursing had its first graduates receive their degrees 100 years ago. View historical artifacts from the previous nursing cohorts, talk with “Florence Nightingale” about her life, and engage with current faculty and students who make the OHSU School of Nursing what it is today.

5 - 8 p.m. We will then move to the Portland Art Museum- 1219 SW Park Avenue, Portland, OR 97205, for three “blocks” of activities: the Awarding of Centennial Medals for individuals outside of nursing who have contributed to nursing nationally and/or within Oregon; a hearty hor d’oeurve reception; followed by a keynote presentation that will feature Barbara Smith Conrad. She promises to inspire and entertain – her PBS special, entitled "When I Rise" is out now, get an idea of Barbara’s “spirit” and watch the trailer.
