Graduation Checklist
The OHSU School of Nursing has created a Graduation Checklist for 2012 graduates to refer to during the months preceding Commencement.  This checklist outlines the items undergraduate and graduate students alike will need to complete, including the application for degree, commencement RSVP, instructions for ordering your cap & gowns, dates for class photos, etc.  Additional information including honor cords for undergraduate students and hooding information for graduate students.  2012 graduates are strongly encouraged to review this document to ensure all appropriate steps have been taken and all necessary paperwork has been submitted.

Application for Degree

Students must submit an Application for Degree to receive their diploma.  This form should be completed and returned to the OHSU Registrar no later than March 23, 2012 for Spring graduates.

2012 Commencement RSVP

While no tickets are required for the Commencement ceremony, we will need to obtain an approximate number of graduate attendees as well as an estimated number of guests planning to attend.  RSVPs are due March 23.

Please fill out the appropriate pdf below and hit the submit button on the upper right hand corner of the document. Your response will automatically be sent to our graduation coordinator.

Announcements

Graduation announcements are available for purchase through Royal-T Papers at www.royaltpapers.com.  Personalized OHSU Graduation Announcements may be purchased separately or in conjunction with cap/gown/announcement packages.

Ordering instructions

Regalia

Regalia is required of all student graduates and participating faculty at the OHSU School of Nursing Commencement ceremony.  Students participating in the 2012 Portland Commencement ceremony need to order their rental regalia online; orders MUST be placed online at www.royaltpapers.com no later than April 12, 2012.

Doctoral students who are interested in purchasing regalia need to call for pricing and ordering instructions.

Nursing Pin

Undergraduate students have the option to order a nursing pin which will be "pinned" by a faculty representative at the Commencement ceremony.  To order a 2012 nursing pin, please complete a Nursing Pin Order form and return to Klein Jewelers by March 23, 2012.

Graduation Fair

The OHSU School of Nursing will be hosting a Graduation Fair on Friday, May 18 2012 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Graduates will be able to pickup their ordered regalia, prepaid nursing pins, honor cords (if applicable), and sit for the class photograph.

The 2012 OHSU Commencement Guide includes instructions for graduates of all OHSU programs. Please read this guide carefully to assist with your graduation planning.

Graduation can be a stressful time for many students which may generate a variety of questions.  To help alleviate any undue stress, we have created a FAQs page to help answer many of the common questions encountered during the months leading up to the Commencement ceremony.
